The Cle Elum Downtown Association (CEDA) participates in the Main Street Tax Credit Incentive Program, a state tax credit program that provides a Business & Occupation (B&O) or Public Utility tax (PUT) credit for private donations to downtown organizations. Under the program, once approved by the Department of Revenue, your business’ donation to the CEDA is eligible for a tax credit worth 75% of the contribution. Additionally, as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, contributions made to CEDA are eligible for a federal income tax deduction.
Please note, your business must be registered to file your state excise tax electronically. Donations can be made any time during the year. However, businesses must apply for and take the tax credit in the year following the donation. The program also does not allow refunds for any tax credit above a business’ tax liability.
