This program provides funding for subgrant programs that support the rehabilitation of historic properties to promote economic development in rural communities. Managed by states, tribes, certified local governments, special districts, and non-profits, these programs select, fund, and oversee preservation projects, including architectural/engineering services and physical restoration.
Community Heart and Soul Seed Grant Program
Offers $10,000 in funding to help small towns launch a resident-driven planning process focused on local values, engagement, and community-led action. Requires a 1:1 cash match and local government support.

Provides affordable funding to develop essential community facilities in rural areas.
Backing Historic Small Restaurants Grant
